Citibank Savings and PayPal Withdrawal

I withdrew money from PayPal 2 days ago to my Citibank Savings (Philippines) account and guess what, it's now credited! And the best part is, IT'S FREE! Well I hope I won't get charged any EFT fee at the end of the month for this. If it really is free, then I have to say goodbye to Unionbank EON for my PayPal withdrawal needs.

The bank code I used was 01040020 which is different from Citibank N.A.'s 01007001.

Update (08/12/2013)
There's no EFT fee :)

BDO and PayPal Withdrawal

I withdrew my PayPal money last Sunday and after 2 business days, I got the money! Linking was very easy too. Great job Paypal and Banco de Oro.

Before using my existing BDO account with my PayPal, I tried applying for Unionbank's EON account to curb on withdrawal fees made by the local banks.

But I opted not to have a Uniobank EON account because:
1. The application process was too much of a bother.
2. The staff in their Pasong Tamo (La Fuerza Bldg.) branch was not accomodating.
3. There are no branches near my house and my office. Imagine having to go to their Pasong Tamo branch and only have an encounter with the bitch in #2?

I'll be using BDO when withdrawing from PayPal for now but someday, I might apply for a Unionbank EON account.

HSBC and PayPal Withdrawal

Last month I withdrew 11,000 pesos from my PayPal account to my HSBC credit card. PayPal's fee is 250 pesos so I expected to receive 10,750. After 4 days, I got the money as expected but my points were 1,075 less (10 pesos = 1 point).

I called their contact center and clarified the issue and after 2 weeks, they told me that that's their business rule. If it's a credit and not a payment, points will be deducted.
