Pay SSS Contributions Using HSBC Credit Card

I only knew last week that you can pay your SSS contributions via HSBC internet banking. I tried it last Thursday and the contribution was credited to my SSS account the following day. That was fast! Plus, you get points in your HSBC credit card for this transaction.

  2. Hi yours truly. From HSBC's website:

    1) SSS account number format as follows: 10-digit SSS Member Number + 6
-digit Applicable Month of Payment (MMYYYY).
    Example : 123456891082009

    2) The last 6 digits of your SSS account number may change monthly, depending on your Applicable Month of Payment. In such case, please add SSS as a new payee every month to reflect the changes.

    3) Please pay the exact Contribution Amount (i.e. payment amount). SSS does not accept overpayments or underpayments.

    4) For further assistance on your SSS account number or valid Contribution Amount, please contact SSS.

    1. I've encountered the same problem while paying my January 2014 contribution. It says the same thing which is "account number is incorrect". This is the first time it happened to me. Do you encounter the same thing for your January 2014 contribution?

  7. Is this an active site? Just wondering, because I paid my sss contribution using my hsbc credit card. The transaction was successfully processed l, but when I check my SSS portal after couple of days it didn't reflect my contribution. Does anyone here experience the same problem?

    1. Hi yes this site is still active. I haven't used HSBC to pay SSS contributions for quite a while now. From my experience, if you to pay after the 6OM cut-off time, it'll take about 2 days for the payment to be posted. Other than that, I've never experienced > 2 days.

For the past few months I pay using PayMaya since posting of the payment is real-time. They charge a convenience fee of 1.75% if you use your credit card. I use my PayMaya wallet and just pay extra 10 pesos convenience fee. I'm okay with paying 10 pesos for the convenience of not doing the steps above.
